Projects
Where work lives: kinds of project, who can see one, and what is inside.
A project is a folder of work: its sessions, documents, files, work items, decisions and recurring jobs. Every project has a kind (Engineering, Sales, Support, Legal, Analysis, Marketing or General), and the kind decides the words you see (a legal project's work is a matter, a sales project's a deal) and whether the git tools are shown (Engineering and General only).
Creating a project
- New project asks for the kind, then the name. It creates the project and its first folder.
- Any member may rename a project's display name from its page; the address in the browser stays the same.
- An administrator may change a project's kind.
Shared or private
A project is shared with every member of the workspace unless it is made private. A private project is seen only by the people added to it and by administrators. The person who created it, or an administrator, changes this under Who can see this on the project page, and adds or removes people there.
Work items
Each project can hold work items: the matters, deals, tickets, campaigns or models the team is working on. See Work items, decisions and the inbox.
